A few weeks ago, we hosted one of our Family Science Nights at the Gillispie School in La Jolla. First, we presented Odin, our 2014 robot, to students from kindergarten to third grade. After giving a short speech about our team and introducing the concept of robotics to the kids, we invited them to catch balls thrown by Odin. Then, we presented to students in grades 4-6. We started off with the same presentation and introduction to robotics, then broke them up into three groups, in which they traveled to different stations to learn about build, electronics and programming. This is one of many Family Science Nights that we have hosted for elementary schools all across San Diego. We know that reinvesting our STEM knowledge in the community is very important, and this is one of the ways we succeed in doing so. Please look at our Family Science Nights tab to learn more about this program. We look forward to seeing you at Family Science Nights in the future.
