This week, our team has been making pieces for the drive train with the manual mill, CNC mill, and lathe. Following last week where team members were building prototypes to test their ideas for the way the robot can acquire the cube, this week, prototypes are now being made for different aspects of the robot that can allow for more maneuverability throughout the field. CAD is also finalizing major components, which will then be built in the coming weeks. The field elements are also nearly finished being built, thanks to the hard work of our new members.
In the Business and Outreach department, they are currently practicing Chairman’s as well as designing the pamphlet for the judges, which will be used to help win awards later on. WOW members are working towards a website launch, as well as creating a better structure in anticipation of new chapters joining.
Strategy is constructing the scouting form for the competition, and will soon be reaching out to teams to provide scouting aid. Software is working on an autonomous program, as well as figuring out how best to code the robot.
