Despite being based in San Diego County, we have ensured our team uses our skills to improve the lives of others on a global scale. We have traveled to Tijuana, Mexico for the last 7 years, where our students use the robotics skills they learn to build houses for families in need. We have built 16 houses so far, and cannot wait to return next season to further our impact in the region.

In 2018, Team 2485 ran the FRC Showcase with the 𝛑-rtz, FRC Team 5627. Seven teams traveled to the BIT center in Tijuana to attend our mock competition, and help spread awareness of FIRST programs in Tijuana. The FRC Showcase had over 500 people in attendance and inspired the creation of 2 new FRC teams.

Team 2485 first went to Poland in 2016 when we started mentoring FRC Team 5883, the country’s first FRC team. With 5883, we started 14 FLL and FLL Jr. teams  in Poland and Ukraine. In 2018, 5883 visited our shop to learn more about our team. Team 2485 also helped to host the inaugural Robotics Camp in Kraśnik, Poland in 2018, with over 40 children attending.
